A well-managed renovation can transform an outdated property into a home you love without the cost or upheaval of moving. CK Construction has renovated hundreds of homes across the West Midlands over the past twenty-five years, from Victorian terraces in Birmingham to 1970s detached houses in Solihull and older stone-built properties in Warwickshire villages.
Full-house renovations
Our most popular renovation package is a complete refurbishment: strip out, structural changes, full rewire, full replumb, new heating system, plastering, second fix, decorating, kitchen and bathrooms. Because every trade is in-house we can compress the programme, avoid coordination gaps and deliver a consistent standard throughout.
Room-by-room refurbishments
Not every project needs the whole house done at once. We regularly work through homes room by room over 12 to 24 months for clients who continue to live in the property. Careful sequencing, dust protection and clean site management make this workable.
What a typical renovation includes
- Full electrical rewire to current 18th Edition regulations
- Complete plumbing replacement including hot and cold, waste and central heating
- New boiler, cylinder or system to modern efficiency standards
- Structural changes: wall removals, steel beams, opening up spaces
- New windows and external doors where required
- Full plastering and skimming throughout
- New kitchen, bathrooms and en-suites
- Complete second-fix carpentry: skirting, architrave, doors, staircase
- Full internal decoration
- Flooring throughout
- Loft insulation and thermal upgrades where required
Older properties and character features
We enjoy working on older homes and understand that preserving original features, cornices, sash windows, fireplaces, ceiling roses, often matters as much as the modern upgrades. In conservation areas and listed building situations we handle the additional consenting process.
Areas we cover
Redditch, Bromsgrove, Alcester, Studley, Solihull, Birmingham, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Stratford-upon-Avon and the surrounding villages.
